well...if you knew that there was
a little movement that you could make with your attention

but we've been using it for years
and it hasn't let us down yet!


If you had a head ache, a back ache, soreness,
or stiffness,
that is, if you were hurting physically,
then you would find that it had begun to change for the better.

I still get a little 'wow' when I feel my own aches
and pains just melting away in a minute or two.

But that is how easily I can use the 'edge'
anytime I've gotten out of kilter.

Is it some sort of ‘bodywork’ system?

Yes and No!
Realise this...We are still struggling to to find the ‘link’
between body and mind. But there is a way of
explaining ‘cognition’ using the view of ‘dynamics’.
Looked at this way, mind is embedded in body and
there is simply no division to discover!!


The mathematics of ‘dynamical systems’ applied
as the methodology has already given us the research.
There is compelling evidence that the brain, nervous system
and immediate environment are simultaneously ‘mind’.

As the whole individual unfolds in time, mind and body are
developing and growing as one dynamic system.
This is mind as motion.

So AKUDU is about the body and movement as a mind motion experience

What’s the psychological connection?

If what we are saying above is grasped, then
a psychological connection is not required,
since a ‘split’ between body and psyche
does not need to be made at all.

The dynamics of ‘mind as motion’ is the explanation
for our actual life experience. The kind of psyche
that we are talking about minute to minute
when we say ‘ME’. What I AM. What I want.
What I feel.
What I think. How I behave.

Whether I say that I am succeeding or failing.
Whether I say that I am joyful or miserable,
I am talking about the motion of life.

I am just talking about mind as motion. The AKUDU experience!

Is it some sort of meditation?

Hey..yeah, but I like to call ‘the edge’ a meditation on the run.

Getting your ‘edge’ is an act of mind.
It requires that you use your attention in particular ways.
So there are strong connections to those processes
that we call meditation.

It is however not an eyes closed, turn within mental
process. It’s all about waking up the waking self.

It’s about using that self in a focussed alert way
to bring you the life you want rather than the life
you don’t want. To bring you a body that is performing
the way you want rather than struggling.

What is the ‘Power’ connection?

‘Dynamics’, that’s the connection!
Dynamic means power, full of power, powered.

‘Power’ itself means ‘ability’. The ability to act, to do something.
We use it in other ways too but that’s really what it means.

In the practice of AKUDU you are working with
your personal dynamics. With wholeness.
With a unified experience where each movement, thought
and emotion can be observed as a change in ‘state’
of the same one thing.


You are not trying to handle bits of you. Bits that must
somehow be hooked up to explain what is happening.
There aren't any bits! You are all one fluid motion!

Using the Power of the self means using your mind as motion.
It means going with the flow of you as a unique individual.
